How Roulette Works – A Plain English Guide for Pakistani Players
Roulette has been around for centuries for one simple reason: it's easy to understand within five minutes but can take years to fully appreciate. The core of the game is a wheel divided into numbered pockets – 37 pockets in the European version (0 through 36), 38 in the American version (0, 00, and 1 through 36). A small ball is spun in the opposite direction around the wheel's rim, eventually settling into one of those numbered pockets. Your job is to predict where it lands.
That prediction can be as specific or as general as you want. You can bet on a single number for a 35:1 payout, on a group of numbers for reduced odds but better probability, or on broad outcomes like red/black or odd/even for near 50/50 chances. One thing worth understanding early: the green zero (and double zero in American roulette) is what creates the house edge. If roulette had no zeros, red/black bets would be a perfect coin flip.
